How I asked my Bridesmaids 💍 Wedding Bridal Party Proposal Boxes

Something sweet, something shiny, and something sentimental ✨

This was my personal rule of thumb when searching for the perfect way to ask my girlfriends to be my bridesmaids! I couldn’t imagine celebrating this momentous year without these ladies by my side and wanted to find a fun, memorable way to ask them to be a part of my cliche “bride tribe.”

I have 8 women in my bridal party total and most of them live all across the States from Austin, Cleveland, Boston to Brooklyn, so above and below you’ll see images of what I mailed out to them.

So…what’s in my bridal box?

Bridesmaid Proposal Box with Ribbon

  • Found on Etsy, these elegant bridal party proposal boxes include: easy assembly magnetic closure gift box, 6 feet of satin ribbon from a huge selection of color options, elegant & personalized gift tag with a wax seal, opulent gold plated safety pin, and a lovely proposal card insert

Jewelry

  • The “shiny” item in the box was a BaubleBar gold bracelet (for bridesmaids) and a BaubleBar gold necklace (for maids of honor).
  • I highly recommend checking out BaubbleBar‘s personalized jewelry section since they have a ton of options at various price points that don’t break the bank. Gold bracelets, beaded necklaces, and more that are thoughtful & personal making each individual bridesmaid feel special.

 Nail Polish

  • A little self-care gift is always a good idea! If you want to be a conscious consumer, I purchased these adorable pink nail polishes above from Mented which is a Black-Owned Business.

Sea salt caramel chocolate bar “Will You Be My Bridesmaid” Card

  • The “something sweet” — Happy occasions are always a cause for chocolate 😉 I purchased ours from a small business called Sweeter Cards!

White Crinkle Paper and Dried Roses

  • White confetti Crinkle Paper and dried roses cushion the inside of the box in such an elegant way & help fill empty space in your box before you mail it. You can pick up these items from your local Michael’s crafts store, Party City, or on Etsy.

Gold Picture Frame & Printed Memorable Photo

  • A simple $10 frame from Target is the perfect personal touch for your bridesmaid to take home as a keepsake & cherish. The frame I picked out was too large to fit in my proposal box so I just placed it on top of it when mailing in a larger box.

No matter what you fill your box with, your bridal party will see the thought and care you put into asking them to be a part of your wedding. Congratulations on being one step closer to your big day!

p.s. below are images of my Maid of Honor boxes that included an engraved necklace instead of the bracelets mailed out above.

My Maid of Honor boxes included an engraved gold necklace with their last name on the front and on the back engraved the words,

“We may lose our last names, but may we never lose each other.”
