There’s a reason flowers are such a big part of wedding décor. Their natural beauty brightens and brings life into each room they adorn.  With so many types, we select flowers to represent our personal stories on the day we celebrate committing to the person we love most.

This week I went into our florist’s showroom to select our flowers and arrangements for both our Italian and American weddings. Based in NYC, the Ode and Bastille team has been incredible at not only making my English Rose and Ranunculus vision come to fruition but also coming up with creative ways to incorporate florals in a way that is special to me & Nick. In Italy, we’ll be adorning a dessert cart with a garland of rustic blooms and in Ohio, we’ll have bouquets climbing up a fountain in the middle of our aisle. After interviewing a handful of florists, we chose Ode and Bastille for their ability to make each event uniquely grand and special. My dream is for my weddings to have an overgrown, magical garden feel, which Ode and Bastille is known for in the wedding industry.

Based in NYC, Ode and Bastille is a global wedding floral design studio that sources flowers from around the world to bring visionary masterpiece events to life. Having worked with brides on international nuptials from France to Jamaica, I love how their experience abroad doesn’t mean we can’t have one-on-one face time, as their showroom is headquartered close by in Manhattan.

This past weekend I stopped by their showroom with one of my Maid of Honors (socially distanced and masked, of course) to see for myself what the flowers might look like. They were so thoughtful & prepared for our visit, with 5 unique floral arrangement options put together based on my wedding mood board and personality. They listened to my vision of a rustic, blush-toned feel for Italy and deep, enchanted garden hues for Cleveland.
