When visiting Texas it is imperative to pack a hat and cowboy boots! That is especially appropriate when visiting Fort Worth’s newest luxury wild-west-inspired property, Hotel Drover. Located in the historic Stockyard District, you’ll find yourself steps away from trendy shops, lively restaurants, and bustling bars. Some might think this area is touristy, but Hotel Drover is an upscale hidden gem not too far from Dallas!

A wonderful property for big group trips and Bachelorette weekends, you must plan on spending a day by their chic pool! With a spicy margarita always in hand, I enjoyed an afternoon under the sparkle of their chandelier-adorned cabanas. This was my favorite part of my stay!

Hotel Drover Weekend Activities

Day 1

3 PM: Check-in to Hotel Drover
4 PM: Enjoy Watching Cowboys during their Daily Cattle Drive at the Fort Worth Stockyards (131 East Exchange Avenue – Every day at 11:30 AM and 4 PM)
6 PM: Dinner at 97 West – *their charcuterie board is the best! (Make a reservation, as they book up quickly on the weekends!)
9 PM: Craft Cocktails + Drinks at the Hotel Drover Lobby Bar

Day 2

9 AM: Breakfast at 97 West
11 AM: Custom Design your own hat at the Hat Bar in Flea Style (128 E Exchange Ave #580)
1 PM: Relax by the Hotel Drover Pool (Highly recommend their Spicy Margaritas)
8 PM: Firepit and s’mores at The Backyard (Make a reservation at Hotel Drover Front Desk)
