Perfect Day at CocoCay

Adventure runs in my family! ✈️ Getting my first passport at just one week old, my parents got me hooked on all versions of travel at a very young age… whether it be plane, train, or ship. 🥰 After booking six cruises to date, I’m constantly yearning for that feeling of the sea breeze blowing my hair again.

Have you ever been on a cruise?

Well, let me tell you – they are a BLAST! Endless activities & food on the ship, seeing more destinations as you travel, & best of all – the escape of a private island destination such as Royal Caribbean’s Perfect Day at CocoCay in the Bahamas. When I heard this private island was opening up Coco Beach Club, a luxe area that includes floating cabanas over the water, I knew I had to be the first one to go there and get away from the winter blues and dip my toes in the sand!

Royal Caribbean

Royal Caribbean has earned its “Best Cruise Line Overall” title for 18 consecutive years by mastering the art of premium service for guests over the last 50 years. As the largest global cruise line, it offers trips to over 270 destinations around world. Setting sail with Royal Caribbean is an immersive, culturally rich, and unique experience that all types of travelers can enjoy. When on the ship, you will appreciate the latest technologies, including the fastest WiFi at-sea, and tons of fun activities. The trip is equally as enjoyable off the ship, especially now with Royal Caribbean’s collection of private island destinations popping up around the world. The first of which being Perfect Day at CocoCay, the little slice of heaven I got to experience on this trip.

Perfect day at cococay

Royal Caribbean reimagined this private island last year and reopened after a $250 million renovation. There are two sides fo this private island, one for thrill and one for chill. You can spend the morning racing down North America’s tallest waterslide, Daredevil’s Peak, and the afternoon relaxing with your toes in the sand in your very own floating cabana (shown below) at the luxe Coco Beach Club. This private island has everything you’ve ever dreamed of, living up to its name Perfect Day at CocoCay!

Coco beach club

Coco Beach Club is a more exclusive area of the island, providing an accessible laid-back luxury for travelers who want an even more elevated beach day. The club features an oceanfront adults-only infinity pool with in-water loungers where you’ll fall asleep with a pineapple mojito in hand to the sound of the ocean breeze. Throughout the day, guests can dine on refreshing dishes served from the club’s private restaurant like coconut-crusted lobster, hummus, baba ganoush and truffle fries. Guests can reserve a floating cabana at Coco Beach Club prior to their cruise to Perfect Day to enjoy some extra VIP amenities, including a dedicated attendant serving food and drinks all day, an overwater hammock, and their very own slide into the crystal-blue Bahamian waters. Both the dreamy floating cabanas out on the water and the cabanas situated on the beach accommodate up to 8 guests and feature everything you’ll need for the perfect day of relaxation. To gain access to Coco Beach Club, guests can rent a cabana, or purchase a day pass and relax on one of the many premium loungers throughout the club’s beach and pool area.
