This past month we traveled to San Francisco with Teddi and it was a trip full of food, laughter, time well spent with friends, and a couple reality checks of what it’s like traveling with a baby (more on that later!). One thing I’m so happy we made time for while we were there were some mommy-daughter photos near the Golden Gate Bridge! Keep scrolling for some of my favorites!
We were so lucky to have Samantha Look take these beautiful pictures and I know they’re memories that will last a lifetime!

San Francisco Family Photo Location
Where: Baker Beach
This beautiful beach in the heart of San Francisco has a view of the Golden Gate Bridge! We took photos in the morning when there was fog, but if you plan for sunset you’ll get a full view of San Francisco’s most iconic landmark.
We parked at the parking lot off Gibson Rd. ❤️
Okay diving a little more in depth into what I mentioned earlier, here is Teddi’s 4-month Update:
Time is flying fast with our little one and I’m so grateful for this first trip with our baby girl at 4 months old! I’m not going to lie, I was pretty nervous about her flying for the first time. As we were boarding the plane she had a blowout and I was gearing up for what I thought was about to be a very stressful flight, but after a bottle of milk during takeoff she slept the whole 3.5-hour flight!
Exploring a new city with a baby was a learning curve, but I always made sure to put Teddi first and wanted to make sure she had good, deep sleep naps every day. If I had to give one “travel with a baby under 6 months old” tip it would be to allow for half of the day to be spent in the hotel room. For example, you could spend the first half of the day letting baby eat and then nap in the room until noon, before exploring from 1-4pm. Or you could do the opposite and spend the morning exploring and come back to the hotel room by 1pm after lunch to allow baby’s afternoon nap to be in a dark room in their crib.
Our favorite milstone of Teddi’s lately is that she has discovered her feet! She holds onto them with her hands and loves to flail her legs in the air. It’s so cute to see her become more animated and energetic, rolling back and forth, and just overall growing into her little personality!
All that being said, It was a wonderful adventure and she loved traveling, but I will admit I am quite tired. So we might take a break from traveling with a baby for a while.
Any mamas out there have any good tips for how you like to travel?
With love, Caila
