Maui Beach Family Photos

We visited Maui, Hawaii for our babymoon when I was 6.5 months pregnant and had the best time! We love to capture memories when we travel and a quick 30 minute shoot was perfect for our family with a toddler. We captured some organic moments walking on the beach and playing in the grass near our hotel at the Andaz Wailea and it felt so perfect for us! If there is anything I could recommend when taking family photos with young kids or babies it would be, do a photoshoot in Hawaii at sunrise (after feeding them a bite so they aren’t cranky) when they have the most energy with the time change – plus the beaches are empty in the mornings, less wind, and you get the golden hour lighting for photos.

How I’m feeling before baby #2

I am very excited to grow our family and am truly feeling so grateful to be in this stage we’ve always dreamed of. At the same time, I am very emotional when I look at our little girl, because she will no longer be our baby. I just want to be the best parent for both our babies and I hope Teddi still knows how she means the world to me. As mom, I just could cry every time she says that word or gives me a hug in the mornings. I just think I am worried about all of the change and how she will handle things since she is only going to be 17 months old when her brother is born. I know these feelings are normal and if you are mom with two under two – I see you and your feelings are valid. Everything will work out and kids are resilient, but it doesn’t change that I worry about her.
