Turkey day is right around the corner, but I wanted to wish you a happy Friendsgiving! With apple cider mimosas in hand, a few amigas and I toasted to the holiday season the other night. The dress code for the evening required your chunkiest sweater and stretchiest yoga pant for the little candle lit potluck. But I am sharing with you what I wore the next morning, when my closet shook it’s head in disbelief at how many cookies I sampled.
Time to zip up, what I like to call… my Belted Friendsgiving Jacket. When I saw this olive number at Nordstrom Rack a few weeks back, I knew it would be my stylish new companion this event-full season. The stand up collar and asymmetrical zipper make me feel like a woman that means business, but it is also water resistant and washable – a nod to the practical shopper in me.
Just tying up the belt as I run out the door gives the illusion of a waist- line… especially when I feel like I’m having a food-baby… or even food twins. Cheers to another memorable Friends-giving and many more holiday memories to come.
