Time to celebrate the woman who taught you how to be strong and independent. For those of you that are looking for an extra special way to say – You’re amazing Mom & I love you – here is a little list of…
5 Ways to Pamper Your Mom this Mother’s Day
1. Let her have the day off!
Mom’s number one job is taking care of others. Cleaning the dishes, filling up her tank of gas, and making sure the living room is picked up makes the day a little brighter for a woman who is always in motion.
2. Fresh flowers on the counter 🌸
She may say she doesn’t need anything, but something as simple as a bright bouquet is a simple surprise to reminder her all week long that you love her. For long distance moms, Bouqs is a wonderful choice for farm-fresh blooms delivered to her door. p.s. when in doubt pick roses, sunflowers, or tulips… I know carnations are more affordable, but let’s stray away from “filler” flowers.
3. Make her feel beautiful.
For a woman who may not always have time to put on makeup, this is one day pampering her will make it a memorable Mother’s Day. My mother never really does her hair, so this year I gave her an at home blow-out. It’s super easy to bring the salon home with the Conair Infiniti Pro Hot Air Brush. I put on music, easily sectioned her hair, and let the rotating 2″ brush head do all of the drying. She absolutely loved it! Plus it felt amazing to make her feel beautiful & teach her how to use the Conair Infiniti Pro Hot Air Brush I gifted her for little date nights in the future.
4. Take her to Brunch
Instead of making a mess in the kitchen, call ahead to make a reservation at that cute new brunch place downtown. Mom might not have an instagram for their avocado toast, but I bet she’d love to take pics for her latest Facebook album. This is a great casual activity that let’s her show off that at home blow out & gives you time to catch up about her latest Netflix obsession – my mom just discovered The Walking dead.
5. A Special Gift.
Personally I think quality time is the best gift of all – so honestly brunch and a little beauty time is enough to me. But sometimes you want to go the extra mile and get her a tear worthy token. In that case, I always love printing and framing photos for mom. I don’t think my mom would even know how to print something online, so having it wrapped up in a bow is extra special. For a little more fun, you could recreate a childhood photo today and print them side-by side.
Jewelry is always a wonderful idea.
I like to find affordable personalized pieces on BaubleBar.com . They have a ton of options from nameplates, state pendants, to monogrammed earrings for something she’ll adore everyday.
