5 Clever Baby Nursery Organization Ideas

Before our baby was born, I wanted her nursery to be an organized space so I would be able to know where everything went and could quickly clean up! Along with the team at 2B Organized Austin – we created these simple spaces dedicated to her growing baby clothes, many toys, and baby essentials. They gave me so many tips on organizing her nursery – I had to share! For all of you new moms, hope you find these 5 Clever Nursery Organization Ideas as helpful as I did!

1. Drawer Dividers

Adjustable to the length of your drawer – we used these bamboo drawer dividers to maximize use of the entire drawer and keep folded baby clothes categorized by age!

2. Use a Rolling Cart

A super convenient way to take your diaper changing station into different rooms, store extra supplies/ pump parts, and even have a shelf for pumping machines – we love our rolling cart I picked up from Target!

3. Basket for clothes that are “too big” and “too small”

Babies grow out of clothes so quickly and sometimes you get gifted baby clothes that are a size up! By having two empty bins labeled ” too big” and “too small” you’ll be able to quickly categorize clothes when you are busy and move them to a storage bin later! We used these bin clip labels from The Container Store on woven baskets to customize our labels.

4. Vertical Storage

Utilizing wall space like the shelves below is a smart way to store books, toys, and framed photos – plus it makes adorable decor!

5. Diaper Caddy

Our acrylic clear diaper caddy is to the right of our Keekaroo Diaper changing pad! It’s a small way to organize diapers, baby wipes, and diaper rash creme that we use every day! I like a diaper caddy for essentials, because it’s also easy to clean up if any mess from our diaper cremes spills in there – or we can quickly hide the caddy in the closet to tidy up before guests come over.

Organizing our baby’s nursery before she was born was just one way I prepared as a new mom & felt connected to her during pregnancy! This was a chance to wash and fold all of her clothes and envision where she would wear them or what memories we would make in them together. Now that Teddi is almost 5 months old, I can tell you – that having a baby in an organized space made the transition into motherhood so much easier! I had a simple system to wash baby’s clothes every 3 days, fold, and put them away in their labeled drawers or on their seasonal hanger sections. Loved these tips I learned from my friends and hope you enjoy them too!
