Happy happy December to you!
I’m so excited for Christmas this year! I’ll be spending the holiday in Chicago the family this year. I have to admit, I’m usually a pack-at-the-last-minute person who can’t decide what clothes to bring (you never know what you’ll be in the mood to wear!). But this year, I have the perfect outfits already picked out and ready to be packed in my suitcase next to the gifts for the family. Anyone else trying to get a jump on things this year? I found these looks for my trip at Stage.com and love that they have adorable selections at a great price point!
Three looks to set the stage for an amazing holiday weekend…
LOOK 1
Our family in Chicago has a lot of holiday traditions I can’t wait to join in on, one of which being a neighborhood-wide candlelit dinner. Everyone comes together and eats a delicious meal while carolers sing in the background. As a couple, we treasure a close-knit community and I definitely want to make a good first impression. The dinner is being held at a country club, so it calls for some dressier attire. This tiered dress is a great mix between classy and fun with long sleeves and a ruffled skirt for dancing and twirling to some Christmas carols. If you don’t have a big dinner to go to, this dress is also good for Christmas Eve with the family!

LOOK 2
I absolutely love a good sweater dress for an elevated cute-yet-casual look. When paired with a thick sweater, it becomes a great homey look. I’ll be packing this cowl neck maroon dress and block plaid cardigan for one of the days we’re lounging around the house wrapping gifts and sipping on cocoa. The cardigan is a life-saver on those cold, snowy days, and will be easy to slip off when it gets toasty next to the fire.

LOOK 3
The third look includes this amazing boyfriend coat for walking around those windy Chicago streets! The plaid print and blazer-style says city chic while the faux-fur cuffs let you show off some fun personality. This jacket is what I’ll be wearing while exploring the Christkindlmarket, seeing the spectacular lights at Lincoln Park Zoo, or ice skating at Millennium Park.

I’m so excited to welcome new traditions into Christmas and set the stage for future holiday customs. I look forward to seeing my family’s faces as they open their gifts and most of all, I can’t wait to celebrate all the love this time of year has to offer.
