TIPS FOR TRAVEL

BEST TIME OF YEAR TO VISIT TULUM

Tulum is an amazing escape with activities for the beach bum travelers to those who enjoy shopping & a spa. ✨You’ll enjoy Mexico’s warm weather all year long with coolest temps in Jan hitting 70 degrees F, but I’d recommend visiting sometime between late November through April, with rainy season beginning in June.

BEST WAY TO GET TO TULUM

To get to there, you’ll fly into Cancun International Airport (CUN) and travel south about 90 minutes by taxi, bus, rental car, or hotel shuttle. Important note: there are no Ubers in Mexico. I always start by calling my hotel and asking if they have a private airport shuttle, this is the most trusted & affordable for first time Mexico travelers.

GETTING AROUNG TULUM

Before getting into a taxi on this trip, always ask the cab driver how much the trip will total before getting in. This way, you can ask your hotel staff, restaurant host, or local if this is a fair price and won’t be taken advantage of.

Grab your passports and get ready to soak up the sun — Tulum is calling 🌞

    Very helpful! I will have to take a trip w some friends and my fiancé to see if that could be a great wedding location for my wedding in 2020. As I’m trying to see if Mexico is my future destination for a tropical wedding . Cabo is on my list and now Tulum. Plus, loving the swimsuits and those green plant pants.     You’re so stunning Caila and looking a goddess in water and in Tulum. Tulum looks like such a great place to visit. Interested in getting an ATV through the jungle and that restaurant in Tulum where you can dine like on top the world.     No wonder you shared information on the photographers they do amazing job capturing people. You are beautiful it’s not hard but when you get the right people to snap away right a great combo to get some of the best pictures.I’m always up for Italian food so will check out Posada Margherita as well as the famous Azulik Tulum restaurant and museum they have. You are super amazing for the super generous links and codes.I need to hit up a cenote that I can scuba dive in when I go. Let see if I can head to Tulum this spring or summer. You rock Caila for this 💯

    Hola Caila,

    Great review on Azulik, specially right now that they are being exposed for holding the personel’s tips. About "what time of the year to come to Tulum", as A local for 15 years here in the area I can say that the beast months to visit are from September thru March. During these months the cold fronts come more often and drive the Sargassum algae away and is when we can enjoy the crystal clear turquoise ocean that the Caribbean Ocean is known for. The rains vary from year to year and are more present from September to November in the mornings and the evenings, clearing up thru mid day hours. Contact me when you come back to this paradise, there is more beautiful nature to see and enjoy besides noisy ATV tours that disturb all the wildlife in the jungle and cenotes that you can enjoy to yourself avoiding the crowds.

    A little correction. I meant I can say that the best months to visit are from September thru March. We need to change the visitor’s mentality about coming to Tulum on the slow but good months which are September and October. Thank you.
