Recharge in the Shower! Revealing my everyday Shampoo & Conditioner

I have thick hair — I’m talking thick! As in… I’m pretty sure when I braid it, I could throw it out of my window and climb down it. Most of the time I am grateful for its thick texture, a disadvantage is it can be frizzy and look dry during seasons I style it a lot. So, after searching and trying out a variety of different products, I’m finally sharing the crown jewel of shampoos and conditioners that restores my hair’s natural shine.

WHAT I USE

The full L’Oreal Elvive Total Repair 5 collection comes with a shampoo, conditioner, mask, and leave-in treatment that all smell AMAZING and leave your hair feeling silky smooth.

  • Repairing Shampoo and Conditioner

    • The shampoo and conditioner are designed specifically for damaged hair in mind, containing Protein + Ceramide to help fight the 5 signs of damage – split ends, weak, rough, dull and dehydrated. When used together, each hair strand is fortified, reinforcing hair fiber and sealing-in nourishment. This dynamic hair duo makes it easy to give your hair new life and for a combined total of just $4.99 😱

  • Protein Recharge Leave-In Conditioner

    • As someone who uses hot tools regularly, this has really taken a toll on the healthiness of my hair. I was so excited to find this protein recharge treatment that makes my hair look and feel on its A game. The formula instantly recharges your hair, fights the 5 signs of damage and allows for 97 percent less breakage.

    • The difference I’ve seen since using this has made me realize how important using leave-in conditioner is. Each use of a blow dryer strips away precious protein that your hair is made of. This treatment is great because it replenishes that protein and protects against future damage that can be caused from hair coloring, brushing, and heat tools. So easy to use and affordable ($6.99!), applying a little bit on damp hair before styling makes such a big difference.

  • Damage-Erasing Balm

    • This rinse-out mask treatment does wonders for damaged hair. I use this every other time I wash my hair and have loved the results. It only takes leaving on for 3-5 minutes to work its magic! Some people use at-home remedies such as avocados and honey, but if you want to forgo going to the grocery store or keep these items for your next meal-prep, this L’Oreal balm is a great solution.

MY ROUTINE

While I shower my body every day, I only wash my hair every 2-3 days (don’t want to strip all the natural oils!). I deep condition with the Damage-Erasing Balm once a week, which I’ve found to be enough to nourish those hair fibers and make my hair look beautiful all week long!

The Protein Recharge leave-in conditioner smells DELICIOUS by the way. I use it right out of the shower after a towel dry. Then I rub about a dime size between my hands and apply to damp ends before a blow dry.

THE RESULTS I’VE SEEN

I’ve been using the L’Oreal Elvive Total Repair 5 products for 9 weeks now. Currently running my fingers through my hair, I am so happy with the silkiness I feel. It’s more maintained, less frizzy, and shinier than ever before. The biggest benefit, I’d have to say, is the subtle floral scent. I love smelling feminine and fresh, especially when in a relationship. My hair still smells newly shampooed even when it is one of the body-shower only days.

I challenge you to try it out and give your hair the protein it’s craving!
