3 Ways to Kick off Your Day
with a Positive Start
For those of us that live life on the go, your morning can impact how you feel the rest of the day. So here are 3 simple ways to start your day on a positive note…
1. Make the first 15 minutes of your day technology-free.
By not checking emails & social media, you’ll feel more present to focus on enjoying a moment where others aren’t demanding your attention. This time is just for you.
2. Optimistically set goals for the day.
Think to yourself, “If I was only able to accomplish these three things, then today was a great day.” These might be anything from signing up for that boxing class you read about, arranging that doctor’s appointment you’ve been putting off for a while, or even cooking dinner at home to save a little money. By doing this you’re focusing your energy and affirming your actions before the day has even started.
3. Prep before you leave the house.
“Wallet + keys + drink ✔️,” I tell myself and leave on the kitchen counter before I get ready. We live our lives on the go… every day is different, from running from meeting to meeting, doing errands across town, picking up packages, to making returns before the store closes. If I know I won’t be able to take a break until the afternoon I try and throw a healthy snack and a yummy drink in my purse to look forward to. My favorite drink right now is Tropicana Coco Blends – I love the Pineapple with Coconut Water. It comes in a super convenient single-serve size so it’s easy to throw in my bag and run out the door! Plus, it’s 10% coconut water with no artificial sweeteners or artificial flavors, tasty and refreshing. I have a whole bunch in the fridge so I can just take one with me and sip wherever the day might go.
